Before joining the firm in 2022, Austin served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Larry R. Hicks, Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. In his two years as a law clerk, Austin worked on numerous federal cases involving both civil and criminal matters, while also gaining institutional knowledge of trial practice and procedure. At the firm, Austin’s practice focuses primarily on business and commercial litigation related matters.

Austin earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2020. There, he served as production editor for the University of Colorado Law Review and was a finalist at the annual Rothgerber Moot Court Competition. During law school, he worked as a student attorney in the appellate practicum, and interned for both the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado and the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Born and raised in Reno, Austin is excited to serve clients in the community he knows and loves. In his free time, Austin enjoys the uncanny access to outdoors the Truckee Meadows area has to offer as well as exploring the local craft beer scene.
