Before joining the firm in 2021, Michaela served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James Hardesty, Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, as well as for the Honorable Kathleen Drakulich, Second Judicial District Court Judge.  In her two years as a law clerk, Michaela worked on cases in a variety of legal areas while gaining institutional knowledge about both trial and appellate practice and procedure. Since joining the firm, Michaela has focused her practice in the area of business and commercial litigation.

Michaela earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2019. While at UC Hastings, Michaela was a student attorney in the Social Enterprise and Economic Empowerment Clinic, where she served as outside counsel to corporations and organizations that emphasized community impact.  There, Michaela gained experience advising clients on corporate governance and operational matters, as well as drafting transactional documents. Michaela also externed for the Honorable Valerie P. Cooke at the United States District Court for the District of Nevada while in law school.

Michaela comes to Nevada from the Napa Valley, where she had the privilege of growing up in the heart of the wine industry.  Her family’s winery impressed upon her the importance of serving one’s community in defining success, and she brings this same dedication to Northern Nevada—a place she has called home for several years now.
