After graduating from law school, Michael clerked for the Honorable Connie Steinheimer before joining the Thorndal Armstrong law firm in the Reno office. On January 1, 2000, he joined Robison, Sharp, Sullivan and Brust and became a shareholder in 2003. His law practice is broad and focuses on business litigation, family law matters, including child custody, insurance defense, as well as personal injury and real property. Michael’s clients include the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, commercial real estate developers, construction companies, Costco Wholesale, Enterprise Rental Cars, medical groups, doctors, attorneys, and business professionals throughout the State of Nevada and California. He has been licensed in Nevada and California since 1993 and practices regularly in both states in Federal Court, State Court and administrative agencies. He also provides expert witness services for legal malpractice claims in Nevada. Recently, Michael obtained a published opinion in favor of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. See Buckwalter v. Nevada BD of Med. Examiners, Case No. 11-15742 (2012). Michael has frequently served as a speaker for the Nevada State Bar on Arbitration, Short Trial Program and Discovery issues.
